Anthem rock band VISTA, made up of Hope Vista and Greg Almeida, have announced their sophomore EP, Long Live.
The seven-song EP is due for release on July 21 and will include the previously released ‘Henchmen’ and ‘Allegiance’. Long Live will also include a new version of Hope’s 2015 solo single ‘Dominance’ in addition to four brand new songs. Lyrically, the EP will focus on finding an ‘oasis’ among a dystopian society.
Speaking about the EP, VISTA said: “We never want to just be a band. We also wanted to release a body of work that was a brand. Brand, not just a band. A strong package of visuals, music that matches up to the visuals, a threshold of content that lived up to the title of the record. The concept for Long Live really stemmed from ‘Henchmen,’ which was focused on the idea of fighting against the face of oppression in a politically polarizing society. This apocalyptic world, the words “Long Live” stand up against that and also mirror where VISTA is at a year and a half later.”

Long Live follows on from VISTA’s debut EP VERSUS which garnered great success for the band. Over the past year or so, the band have been making strong waves in the music industry. From supporting Against The Current at Irving Plaza to selling out their first two headline shows, the band have proven that they’re a force to be reckoned with.
We can’t wait to hear what VISTA will deliver with their new EP. One thing’s for certain, it’s going to be unapologetically loud and we couldn’t be any more excited!
