Ahead of the release of her sixth studio album Norman Fcking Rockwell on Friday, August 30, Lana Del Rey has shared a double music video for two of her singles – “Fck It I Love You” and “The Greatest.” The nautical-themed video takes place in California and offers fans a feeling of nostalgia.
In “Fck It I Love You,” Del Rey sings, “Fck it, I love you/I moved to California, but it’s just a state of mind.” Meanwhile, in “The Greatest,” the singer, who is from New York, remembers her favorite memories of her home state. She sings, “I miss New York and I miss the music/Me and my friends‚ we miss rock ‘n’ roll.”
Throughout the video, fans also see Del Rey performing in clubs, which could reference her past when she used to perform in nightclubs while living in New York. The video’s old-school aesthetic adds to the nostalgia, as it features campy clips of the singer riding a surfboard. Del Rey previously shared the clip on August 1 in a trailer for her new album.
Lana Del Rey will release her new album on Friday, August 30, and will also be embarking on the first leg of The Norman F*cking Rockwell! Tour this fall. The first show will be in her home state in Wantagh, New York, on September 21st. To purchase tickets to see Lana Del Rey live in concert, click here.
