Ward Thomas are currently gearing up for the release of their eagerly anticipated third studio album ‘Restless Minds‘. The new record will be released on October 5th and features 15 brand new songs that focus on subjects such as mental health, women’s rights and also the bond Catherine and Lizzy share as twins.
The LP has been introduced by the lead single ‘Lie Like Me’ which is a song all about social media and how sometimes we are all guilty of airbrushing our lives online to make it seem like we are having the best time even when we are going through difficulties in “real life”.
It’s a bold track that has massive pop influences but still manages to keep one foot firmly in the country world thanks to its stark, honest lyrics that are synonymous with the genre. This era Ward Thomas are really coming into their own and have truly found their own musical style that is unique to them.
Being 24 they offer a fresh insight into the world seen through the eyes of a twentysomething in this current time of political upheaval and social media. ‘Restless Minds’ will offer a new outlook on subjects that Millennials are encountering for the first time.
