12 Reasons to Love Dean Winchester

Dean Winchester is gorgeous, hilarious, badass but above all, very caring especially to his younger brother Sam.

The Supernatural fandom have watched Dean go through many ups and downs in 11 seasons with the upcoming 12th season promising even more of them.

With the premiere of the 12th season coming up on October 13th, we thought we would compile a list of 12 reasons why we love the fantastic Dean Winchester.

1. First of all, the man is absolutely beautiful and oh so very charming!

Dean is forever charming the hearts of ladies and he can flirt like no one else. Boy, can this man flirt!

2. He is fantastic with kids and knows how to talk to them on their level.

I mean, who can forget how much of a father figure he became to Lisa Braeden’s son Ben?

3. His one-liners are epic. He has a smart, witty mouth and knows how to use it.

4. He has a beautiful heart and is incredibly caring, especially towards those he loves.

He doesn’t like to always show it but sometimes we see Dean’s vulnerability when it comes to anyone who decides to attack his brother Sam or anyone he considers to be family.

5. He can be incredibly playful and childish.

From playing rock, paper, scissors to having ongoing prank wars with his brother, Dean has a wonderfully goofy side which fans have come to love.

6. He is one hell of a badass and you don’t ever want to cross him.

His anger can be downright scary and he can be lethal. You don’t want this Winchester hunting you down!

7. He is incredibly loyal to those who are closest to him.

Sometimes his fierce loyalty can lead him to make some bad decisions but not once does he make them without using the goodness of his heart.

8. He knows how to make us cry.

He always breaks our heart the minute his voice wobbles and that One Perfect Tear falls. Dean is deeply damaged which Jensen Ackles has portrayed perfectly so far for 11 seasons. His emotional scenes always leaves us bawling and wanting to comfort him.

9. He has great taste in music.

The music is just as important to Dean as his car. His love of rock music and breaking out into song whenever he can is incredibly endearing.

10. He drives an Impala ’67.

Although originally his father’s car, the Impala has definitely become Dean’s own. She is as important to Dean as Sam is. We’ve seen her smashed up and rebuilt time and time again. She is just as an important character as Sam and Dean are to us.

11. He doesn’t quit, even when he wants to.

How he gets up and fights what/who he fights every single day is amazing. No matter how tired he is or how damaged he is inside, he keeps going and fighting to save people.

12. How much he loves Sam.

No matter how many times they fight or leave each other, their love for each other is what makes the show as amazing as it is. They always have each other’s backs and it will always be them against the world.
