Samantha Harvey is a 23 year old singer-songwriter who has gained a significantly large following on social media through her regular posting of covers by popular artists such as Little Mix, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber. To date, she has over 400,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel and over 2 million likes on her Facebook page. She is set to release original music this year, and we can’t wait to hear it!

Here at CelebMix, we have put together a list of just some of our favourite covers by Samantha Harvey.

    1. ‘Galway Girl’ (Ed Sheeran)

We love Samantha’s authentic version of Ed Sheeran’s popular song ‘Galway Girl.’ The song ‘Galway Girl’ is taken off Ed Sheeran’s most recent album, titled ÷, which was released in March 2017. The track debuted at Number 1 on the Singles Chart in Ireland and is the third most streamed song off the album on Spotify. Ed Sheeran filmed a video for ‘Galway Girl,’ however, there has been no set release date for the video.

    2. ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ (Little Mix)

Samantha Harvey did an acoustic version of this smash hit by Little Mix. ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ was the first single off their fourth studio album, titled ‘Glory Days.’ The single gave the band – made up of members Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson – their fourth number one single, spending several weeks in the Number One position. The song is the ultimate break-up anthem.

    3. ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ (Charlie Puth featuring Selena Gomez)

Samantha Harvey collaborated with singer Harvey Cantwell for this cover, and we absolutely love their version! The song ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ is off Charlie Puth’s debut album ‘Nine Track Mind.’ The track reached the Number One position in several countries. The song was Charlie’s second top ten single, while it was Selena Gomez’s sixth top ten single.

    4. ‘Skinny Love’ (Birdy)

Any song that Samantha covers, she always makes it her own – and this cover is no exception! ‘Skinny Love’ is a song that was originally sung by American indie folk band Bon Iver. The song was covered by Birdy and is taken off her debut album, which was released back in 2011. Birdy’s version of ‘Skinny Love’ reached number 17 on the UK Singles Chart.

    5. ‘I Hate U, I Love U’ (Gnash featuring Olivia O’Brien)

Samantha Harvey collaborated with English singer-songwriter Conor Maynard for this cover, which has raked up over 30 million views on YouTube. The song was released at the start of 2016 and topped the charts in many countries.
