Days after she released her brand new single, “I Think I Love It“, the Romanian superstar, Alexandra Stan, has dropped the accompanying music video. She leaves little to the imagination with this display of confidence, sexiness, and a sense of feeling free. The single was officially released on 28 June 2019 and follows up the release of her fourth studio album, Mami, as well as her collaboration with Kopo and Drei Ros on the single “Stay“.
Alexandra Stan hit it worldwide with her single “Mr Saxobeat”; since then, she has been continuing her career by releasing awesome songs and collaborating with some big names including INNA, Daddy Yankee, Antonia, Mohombi, and Manuel Riva. She’s definitely someone to keep watching, especially since she’s already been a global success, and with her dedication and incredible vocals, she will surely do it again. She’s been living in Los Angeles for the past year, whilst working on new music. Her recent release, “I Think I Love It”, starts a whole new era for this musician and sees her sign a new record deal with Universal Music Romania and MediaPro Music.
The new single, that was released this week, has been written by Ioachim Petre, Krishane, Radu Bolfea, Stanga Adelina, and Vlad Lucan, whilst Vlad Lucan and Radu Bolfea produced the track. As for the music video, it has been directed by Criss Blaziny, who also directed her visuals for “9 Lives” and her feature on Alex Parker’s “Synchronise“. Alexandra Stan also featured on his song “Au gust zilele” which was the start of their music projects together, so it’s great to see that he was the one who directed this music video. It was filmed in Constanta, Romania – which is Alexandra Stan’s hometown.
It’s brilliant to see Alexandra Stan comfortable with the camera and her music, she shows off a teasing and confident side of her which really works with the track. It is bright and colourful but also contains a lot of explicit imagery with the Romanian star topless underneath a pink polyester jacket that matches her pink hot pants, paired with pink cowboy boots. She can be seen in a red Corvette with another woman, played by fashion model Geani Olaru, who is dressed similarly, only in baby blue. They stop the car so Alexandra Stan could interact with a butterfly and stand in front of a hot pink screen board. The next scene sees her wearing a lime green long-sleeved wetsuit in a field with the said pink screen board. The next scene sees her wearing a red heart as a top with some jewelled hot-pink hot pants in front of another large board, this time patterned with bananas and LED border lights. The final scene sees the two women covering themselves in mud – which Alexandra Stan loves to do in her hometown where they call it mud therapy.
