American Idol’s Brandon Diaz Releases Debut Single “Groovin”

When American Idol was renewed last year for season 16, it brought us some amazing talent. One of those was Brandon Diaz. He won the hearts of the judges and America and made it into the top 24, although he should have made it further.

If you don’t remember him, check out his American Idol audition here.

On November 15th, he released his debut single, “Groovin.” It is an upbeat tune that will make you want to dance. The lyrics, “I know what to do to make you mine,” will have you falling in love.

The original release date was set for November 16th, but Diaz wanted to surprise his fans and released it a day early because of all of the love and support they have shown him.

You can listen to “Groovin” here.

The single artwork depicts Diaz in 70’s/hippie style glasses and a paisley shirt, giving off a very groovy vibe.

He started singing at age 8 and decided to pursue music after he performed in front of 30,000 people at a Washington Capitals game when he was 14. He is currently attending the Berklee College of Music. There, he formed Brandon Diaz ‘N Soul with 5 fellow students.

Before American Idol, Diaz auditioned for The Voice and the X-Factor, where he also received a ‘yes’ from the judges.

Congrats on the release and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
