Following on from the release of his debut album People Like Us, Scottish singer-songwriter Callum Beattie has taken us right back to the beginning of his musical journey by releasing a gorgeous piano version of his debut single ‘We Are Stars’.
The stripped back version of ‘We Are Stars’ is delicate, intimate and completely captivating as it allows Callum’s striking vocals to take centre stage. Callum has also unveiled a performance video for the piano version, which sees him perform the track alone with his iconic ‘People Like Us’ white piano near a river.
Speaking about the track, Callum said: “‘We Are Stars’ is a song I wrote about two people trying to show love and understanding for each other after the heartache of losing one another”, and this raw emotion is certainly evident throughout the piano version.

Callum has been busy treating us to content following the release of People Like Us. In light of the current global pandemic, he reworked his song ‘Some Heroes Don’t Wear Capes’ in support of front-line NHS workers. The track was used in an NHS Professionals video which launched on May 12 in line with International Nurses Day.
Callum also released a fun music video for the fan favourite track ‘Mouth of a Tiger’. The visual for the toe-tapping track sees Callum channel a number of different characters including a boxer, a bride, a David Bowie/Aladdin Sane look, and a Tiger King look, complete with a tiger mask.
