With the first of the American Presidential debates taking over all broadcast networks last night, Dancing with the Stars producers had no choice but to cut the performance show this week into an hour long format. This is where the “face off challenge” came into play.
As Jake and Jenna became the first to be eliminated on last week’s result show, the 12 remaining pairs learned that they would be competing against another couple, dancing the same dance style; however, with different songs.
On Monday night, the couples went head to head. After their performances, they immediately received their scores from the judges who withheld from critiques due to the episode’s time restraint. The couple with the higher score of the two facing off automatically went through to next week’s live show. This is how it all went down:
