Since summer is now well and truly upon us, you are probably looking for some sizzling hot new music to listen to while you are lounging around the pool or trying to even out those pesky tan lines… Well if that is the case then you are in luck because we have the perfect summer track for you here in the form of, “Let It Shine,” by singer and songwriter Miles Graham.
Miles was born in Dublin and as one of nine siblings who grew up on a bustling council estate, his chilled sound may come as a bit of a surprise. But it’s an incredible surprise. Miles’ voice is very smooth yet it is full of passion and truth. When Miles sings, his tone captivates you completely. It hypnotises you until you believe every word that comes out of his mouth. He reels you in and makes you feel exactly what he is feeling, which is an ability rarely seen in the music industry these days.
In the past he has been compared to the likes of James Morrison, Ben Howard, and Ed Sheeran but Miles Graham is definitely an artist in his own right. He stands out, pouring everything he has into his music. Everything from his songs to his personality is genuine and he is truly a breath of fresh air which we are very happy to have discovered.
Miles’ sincerity radiates out of his music and from every word he sings and, “Let It Shine,” is certainly no exception to that. His soothing new single pulls you in from the very first beat and then it lulls you into a total sense of blissfulness. It puts you at ease right away and then the more you listen to it, the more you fall in love with it.
And luckily, Miles seems to love the song too! We think that it is some of his best work so far, but he admits that it took a while until he felt like, “Let It Shine,” was perfect enough to release. He recently told Our Culture Magazine that the overall production of his newest single proved to be quite a challenge. “I work hard on my lyrics. I’m no genius, I just work hard and I will re-write and re-write until I’m happy with a concept. I do that a lot,” he said.
Well we’re pleased that Miles has now perfected the production of, “Let It Shine,” so that it could be released and to say that we love it would be a big understatement. The track also has a pretty stunning music video to run alongside it too and although there is little sunshine in the video itself, the simplicity of it all is what makes it so perfect for summer. It’s the perfect cool-down track and definitely a song which we will have on replay whilst we are out catching a tan on a hot day.
