On Monday, July 2nd, Jesse McCartney brought the Better With You Tour to Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA. It’s been a few years since his last tour so we were exceptionally excited about this stop. McCartney is responsible for so many childhood hits such as “Right Where You Want Me,” “Because You Live,” and of course “Beautiful Soul.” The performances of these songs made us feel like we were all reliving our childhoods and watching him perform “Beautiful Soul” on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, because let’s face it, the audience was Maddie and London during that performance.
The reason McCartney is on tour though is because of the new music he’s released. His new song “Better With You” is definitely a summer bop that we recommend you listen to you right away. Of course hence the name, “Better With You,” meant McCartney was bound to do something fun with the audience. McCartney talked with the crowd, a few lucky fans and even brought one lucky fan, that we in the audience were definitely not jealous of, onto the stage to sing to her.
Overall the performance was definitely a childhood dream achiever. Being able to see McCartney perform his iconic hits in a small venue made it even that much better. If you’re feeling a bit old and need to feel young again, we recommend seeing this tour.
