Sometimes, we stumble upon a new release so good it gets us really giddy. We listen to the first beats and are immediately hooked. This was the case with Leah Kate’s “WTF?”.
The New York City based artist is an up-and-coming singer-songwriting currently establishing herself in the music industry. With her left-of-center music direction and a very direct IDGAF attitude, Leah Kate is now officially on our radar of artists that will surely become famous. Especially with a title like that.
Her brand new track, “WTF?”, deals with the feeling of being ghosted by your crush but, trust us, the track is nothing short of being anthemic.
It was a literal WTF-moment for us, to be honest, when we first listened to it. The track is sweet but direct, insanely catchy yet creative.
Filled with glossy electronic synths and a hook so infectious you cannot believe it at first, “WTF?” might be the singer’s best song yet.
Talking about the track, Leah Kate explains that “I want to remind girls and anyone not to let someone make you think that YOU did something. Sometimes you have to make light of situations and know that it is not meant to be. (…)”
