Little Mix’s empowerment anthem ‘Salute’ was just recently featured on a Rio 2016 ad for this years Olympics. The music video features some of the U.S. women’s team!

Single ‘Salute’ comes from the girl groups sophomore album of the same which charted in the top 10 of many worldwide charts, most notably the Billboard Hot 200 at #6. It was certified platinum in the U.K. for selling 300,000+ copies and has sold over half a million copies globally.
While the Beyonce-esque anthem was only released in U.K. territory, it has gained quite a reputation by the public as a massive girl power mantra.
The music video itself has amassed close to 90 million views worldwide.
The Spice Girls performed at the 2012 London Olympics and it would be great to see Little Mix follow their steps and perform for the Rio crowd.
Either way, the pre-Olympics phase is already turning out to be a cheery banter for all and we’re ready to see all the athletes of the world show off their unbelievable talent. With a wonderful mix of men and women, this years athleticism is sure to be top notch once again.
