Spotify just released their final recordings with Mac Miller from his Spotify Singles sessions, and these two tracks will make you fall in love with him all over again.
Before his passing in September, he dropped by the Spotify studios in New York City to record for his Spotify Singles session. This release features a stripped down version of the track “Dunno” from his final album Swimming as well as a cover of Billy Preston’s “Nothing from Nothing”.
Along with the announcement of his Spotify Singles release, Spotify tweeted a video of Mac Miller from his recording day in the studio.

Although “Dunno” is a slower song from Swimming, this approach that Mac Miller took gives the song another dimension. With just his voice and a piano, it brings a vulnerability and rawness to the track that makes it as heartfelt and emotional as ever. His cover of “Nothing from Nothing” sticks with the slower vibe and an organ-like feel, creating a beautiful version of Billy Preston’s 1974 hit.
