Two months ago, we reported that eighteen-year-old Michela Pace won the first season of The X Factor Malta and would, therefore, be representing Malta at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Last weekend saw her release her Eurovision song “Chameleon”; an edgy, up-tempo track which just makes you want to get up and dance. For Malta who are known for their strong ballads this is a completely fresh sound.
“Chameleon” was written by Joacim Perrson, Paula Winger, Borislav Milanov and Johan Alkanas; the songwriters who also wrote Poli Genova’s “If Love Was A Crime” and Equinox’s “Bones”.
Throughout her time on The X Factor Malta, Michela’s talent shined through week after week in her live performances and we cannot wait to see this track come to life on the Eurovision stage in May.

The 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted at the Expo Tel Aviv in Israel after Netta won last year with the song “Toy”. The two Semi-Finals will take place on 14 May and 16 May with the Grand Final taking place on 18 May. A total of 41 countries will compete in the contest.
