“I need something hard. I need people to know that I’m hard”, Mood Killer told CelebMix about ‘Go Hard’ last summer.
The track off the pop disruptor’s Liquify EP drops today as a single with a trademark music video. Mood Killer shape shifts from one character to the next as they invite you into their bizarre world of fizzing electropop.
‘Go Hard’ comes to life with its abrasive production in collaboration with trusted collaborators Dorian Electra and Weston Allen. Born from a studio session alongside Oren, the track showcases Mood Killer’s love for “really hard music” and rattled the crowd into a frenzy at Thousand Island, where CelebMix caught the provocateur’s live set last year. A veritable banger.
The latest single from Liquify follows the tongue-in-cheek ‘Cam Boy‘ and title track ‘Liquify‘ – a remixed version of the former premiering at a recent exhibition at the Museum of Sex.
The singer recently teased work on a debut album, live streaming a songwriting session at The HYV in Los Angeles. Having taken Liquify on the road across the United States and Europe as an opener for Dorian Electra last year, Mood Killer’s ever-growing fan base of alt-pop lovers will be excited for what 2020 holds.
