NGHTMRE just released “Bang” via his Gud Vibrations label. The track features the talents of Shaquille O’Neal & Lil Jon.
The collaboration is the result of NGHTMRE’s and Shaquille O’Neal’s blowout NYE performances at Decadence AZ.
According to NGHTMRE, “I met Shaq for the first time in Las Vegas. He came to one of my sets, and we immediately got along and shared our love for bass music. I’ve always played tons of Lil Jon music in my live shows, and now I get to play our own collaboration! Being able to work on music with Lil Jon and Shaq was literally a dream come true for me.”
NGHTMRE has collaborated with superstar artists like PnB Rock, Zeds Dead, The Chainsmokers, Big Gigantic, and Dillon Francis. He’s performed at Lollapaloozaa, EDC, Electric Zoo, Mysteryland, Creamfields, Coachella, and the Ultra Music Festival, along with a host of others.
NBA All Star Shaquille O’Neal and Grammy winner Lil Jon need no introduction. O’Neal dropped Shaq Diesel, which sold over one million copies, while Lil Jon’s multi-platinum hits include “Get Low,” “Goodies,” and “Turn Down For What.” A prolific rapper from Atlanta, Lil Jon has worked with big names such as will.i.am, Steve Aoki, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and Travis Barker.
O’Neal says, “When it comes to dance music, NGHTMRE is my Larry Bird. We spent a ton of time in the studio making ‘BANG’ and I called up my favorite rapper in the game to lay a verse down – Lil Jon.”
“Bang” opens with shimmering colors flowing into a potent bass groove full of bright horns and a galloping trap beat. Pulsing synths and syncopated percussion infuse the tune with tight, muscular energy and brilliant textures.
The buff, powerful rapping flow of the lyrics hits like a sledgehammer – Bang! The blend of three distinctive commanding tone give the lyrics beau coup oomph, as the overwhelming beat rattles your grey matter with sonic vibrations.
