‘How Deep Is Your Love’ was originally a hit for the Bee Gees back in 1977, with Barry and his brothers Robin and Maurice reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The track was also one of six Bee Gees songs to appear on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
However, in 1996, the track was covered by Take That and released as a single from their Greatest Hits album. ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ was the band’s last single before they split, and marked their final number one until they made their phenomenal comeback with ‘Patience’ in 2006.
Now, Take That and Barry have joined forces to release an Odyssey version of ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ which is bound to please fans of both artists. Combining Gary, Howard and Mark’s dulcet tones and harmonies with Barry’s iconic vocals is a stroke of genius and gives the song yet another new lease of life.
Take a listen to the Odyssey version of ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ below.
Odyssey will be released in full on Friday (November 23) and will feature a whole host of reimagined versions of Take That’s biggest hits, in addition to three new singles including ‘Out Of Our Heads’. The album will be interwoven with personal soundbites from over the years, perfectly chronicling their sensational journey as a band.
Take That recently delivered a stellar performance of ‘Out Of Our Heads’ on Strictly Come Dancing. With new dance moves, drums and trampolines, the high energy performance gave just a small taste of what we can expect from their forthcoming UK and European tour, which kicks off next year.
