Love Fame Tragedy has released “Pills,” the final single off of the debut EP, and features a video you MUST watch.
I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It is Love Fame Tragedy’s forthcoming EP and “Pills” feels like the perfect final installment.
With a catchy and conflicting chorus, “Pills” feels like a song you shouldn’t be shouting at the top of your lungs, but somehow manages to find itself there.
The pills don’t work anymore,
Not like they used to, not like they used to.
I still take them,
I don’t know what for.
Further in the song, we get a bridge that stabs somewhere deep.
I still take them / I don’t know what for is met with a stunningly honest and musically-unaccompanied Why don’t you love me the way that I love you?
A plead that feels uncomplicated, honest and forthcoming – if anything, “Pills” feels like a song too personal to air out.
We’re completely obsessed with this EP and cannot wait to see what else Love Fame Tragedy embarks on.
Considering they’re about to finish a mini-tour in North America, we don’t doubt that the success of I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It will allow for Murph to find himself delving into this solo project even further.
