After the amazing year they’ve had, twenty one pilots didn’t want to end 2016 without giving us a special gift for the holidays. Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun joined forces with the band Mutemath to remix five classic twenty one pilots songs and post a live performance video.
After supporting them on the North American leg of their Emotional Roadshow Tour, Mutemath helped Tyler and Josh recreate their songs ‘Heathens’, ‘heavydirtysoul’, ‘Ride’, Tear in my Heart’ and ‘Lane Boy’. The Mutemath session, otherwise known as TOPxMM, was recorded and recently posted on YouTube. Watch the 25 minute long spectacle below!
That’s not all! On top of that awesome video of the bands performing those five songs, we also get free downloads of all five recreated songs from twentyonepilots.com, until January 18th. It was important to the band that the downloads be free and available to everyone.

Thanks for the early Christmas gift boys! We’re definitely going to have these songs on repeat all holiday season. Hearing new versions of songs we already love might just be our favourite pastime.
