After weeks of blind auditions, battle rounds, live knockouts and more, the winner of The Voice UK 2017 has finally been revealed.
Mo Adeniran was crowned this year’s winner, beating duo Into The Ark and soloist Jamie Miller, who came second and third respectively. Michelle John came fourth, after being knocked out during the first half of the final last night.
During tonight’s show, the three remaining contestants sang once again for the chance to win the coveted prize. Jamie (Team Jennifer Hudson) took on Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’, Into The Ark (Team Tom Jones) performed ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ by Drake, whilst Mo (Team Jennifer Hudson) sang Paolo Nutini’s ‘Iron Sky’.
After freezing the vote, it was announced that Jamie had come in third place. That left Mo and Into The Ark to battle it out to be champion. Both acts performed once again, and after a tense wait, it was confirmed that Mo Adeniran was the winner.

As the winner, Mo will receive a recording contract with Polydor Records, home to artists such as Take That and Ellie Goulding. Whilst his version of ‘Unsteady’ by X AMBASSADORS is now available to download and stream, it isn’t officially his winner’s single.
In a new move by the show, Mo will now head straight into the studio and record a winner’s EP, which will be released in a few weeks time. Bosses are hoping that it will give Mo a higher chance of success, after previous winners of The Voice UK have failed to set the chart alight. We can expect a one-off ‘Winner’s Story’ show around the same time as the EP, which will help promote Mo and his music.
A huge congratulations to Mo Adeniran for winning The Voice UK! Congratulations to Into The Ark and Jamie Miller for coming second and third – it was a tight call and we’re certain that all three artists have a bright future ahead of them.
Whilst The Voice UK is over for the time being, we can expect more chair madness later this year. The Voice Kids kicks off in the Summer.
