It’s been a long time coming, however, ZAYN has finally confirmed that his highly anticipated sophomore album will be released in just two weeks time.
Titled Icarus Falls, the mammoth 27-track album will drop on December 14. According to the iTunes pre-order link, the album will include Zayn’s previous releases ‘Let Me’, ‘Entertainer’, ‘Sour Diesel’, ‘Fingers’, ‘Too Much’ featuring Timbaland and ‘No Candle No Light’ featuring Nicki Minaj. Notably, his huge Sia collaboration ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ has not made the cut.
News of ZAYN’s sophomore release made the rounds on social media yesterday however, the artist took to Twitter to confirm the news for himself a short while ago.

Alongside details of the album, ZAYN has also released a new single called ‘Rainberry’.
“Rainberry falling down your blood red lips, why are your eyes heavy? Is there somebody else you missed? Tell me what’s going on before I go too far. Said Rainberry, is there somebody else, somebody else now?”, ZAYN croons over a slick RnB beat as he reveals that he is well and truly over being messed around by a lover.
With a title like Icarus Falls, which refers to the Greek myth legend of Icarus, “the son of Daedalus who to escape imprisonment flies by means of artificial wings but falls into the sea and drowns when the wax of his wings melts as he flies too near the sun”, and the fact that it will include a whopping 27 tracks, it’s safe to say that ZAYN’s sophomore release is going to take us on an interesting and powerful journey.
Icarus Falls is the follow up to ZAYN’s hugely successful 2016 debut solo album Mind of Mine. After teasing new music throughout the year, we couldn’t be more excited to hear the new era of ZAYN in full.
