2015 X Factor favourites and runner-ups Reggie ‘N’ Bollie have finally released their long awaited debut album ‘Uncommon Favours’. The LP has been released independently via the Ghanaian duo’s own label F.R.O.D Music and it’s a wonderful afrobeats/dancehall collection.
I had high hopes for the boys’ first record since their debut single ‘New Girl’ and I was not disappointed. The positivity oozes from their music and the album is filled with massive afrobeat/dancehall tracks that make you want to get up and dance.
But it’s not just club tunes featured on Reggie ‘N’ Bollie’s ‘Uncommon Favours’ as the album also features stunning collaborations with 2015 X Factor stars Che Chesterman and Lauren Murray which add another level to the LP.
For me the standout tracks on the album are the super catchy ‘That Thing’ that is pure Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, the positive, feel good ‘Good Vibes’ featuring Wiyaala, the ear-worm ‘Rock With Me’ which features Lauren Murray and DJ Ironic, the stripped back ‘Dreams’ which shows another side to the rap duo and features vocals from Che Chesterman, and the bouncy ‘Jack and Coke’ which is going to be a great live track.
