UK R&B singer-songwriter Angel is back with his brand new track ‘Hop On’.
Teaming up with rising UK rapper Stefflon Don, Angel draws you in with a slice of sultry, 90’s nostalgia courtesy of a sample of Keith Sweat and Kut Klose’s iconic slow jam ‘Get Up On It’. Angel’s soulful vocals suit the chilled vibe of the track, and Stefflon Don adds a bit of sass to proceedings with a killer rap verse. ‘Hop On’ is slick, smooth and the ultimate slow jam to chill to over the summer days.
‘Hop On’ builds from the rousing success of Angel’s ‘Rude Boy’ which featured Haile from WSTRN. Angel teamed up with JME (Boy Better Know), Wretch 32 and Tally for the track remix which amassed over 2 million combined streams and garnered support from Radio 1Xtra and Rinse FM.
Angel continues to reinforce his position as one of the UK’s hottest R&B talents. Having worked with a whole host of credible names including Pop and Oak (Chris Brown, Kehlani, Nicki Minaj), Swiss Beatz, Neff U and Prince Charlez (who recently collaborated with Rihanna on Anti), Angel has been racking up endless studio shifts in the UK and US.
He will also be showcasing his incredible vocals and stage performance this weekend at London’s Wireless Festival. He will be sharing the stage on Saturday (July 9) with Chase and Status, Sigma, Craig David, Maverick Sabre and WSTRN, to name but a few.
There is no doubt that Angel’s forthcoming album is going to rock both sides of the shore, making 2016 beyond his for the taking.
