BLACKPINK are enjoying the sunny California life right now. After spending the weekend at Coachella and Santa Monica beach, three of the four members – Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa – visited Universal Studios Hollywood, where they got to live out every Harry Potter fan’s dream – trying out butterbeer, picking out wizard wands, and going on HP-themed rides. Best of all, they all got to pick out some Hogwarts house gear. If you thought the BLACKPINK girls were anything other than Gryffindor, you thought wrong because Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa were all decked out in Gryffindor school robes, sweaters, lanyards, and socks, all with the signature red and gold color scheme.
The girls looked like they definitely had fun and as Harry Potter fans ourselves, we couldn’t be more jealous! Check out their photos below.
Their visit to Universal Studios comes just after the girls performed at Coachella on Friday, April 12th. They performed hits such as “Boombayah” and “DDU-DU-DDU-DU,” as well as new tracks such as “Kill This Love” and “Don’t Know What To Do” from their recently released EP, Kill This Love. The group’s Coachella performance was historic as it was the first show that YouTube live-streamed live in Times Square. BLACKPINK previously broke the YouTube record for the most-viewed video on YouTube within a 24-hour period with “Kill This Love,” which reached 56. 7 million viewers in just a day.
The group has recently reached international success, catching the attention of many Western artists. Dua Lipa reached out to the group for a collaboration on “Kiss and Makeup,” and Rita Ora also expressed her interesting in working with the four-piece sometime in the future. Most recently, Ariana Grande, who headlined Coachella two days after BLACKPINK performed, said that she would like to see the group’s second Coachella set. She wanted to meet them last weekend, but because they performed on different days, she didn’t have a chance to.
BLACKPINK’s second Coachella set will be on Friday, April 19th. Before they hit the festival stage again, the group will be performing their first North American concert at the Forum in Los Angeles as part of their ‘IN YOUR AREA’ world tour. They will also perform in Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta, and Fort Worth.
