Kygo has been huge in the music world and that’s because he knows what works best for him and has stuck with what works for him over the past few years. His latest single, “Happy Now,” demonstrates this point well. The song is upbeat, catchy and the vocals balance the instrumental sections amazingly.
The song has classic Kygo sounds and a lyrical message of loss. The video looks moody or at least the clip that Kygo shared for the song where he’s seen lying on his bed, looking up at the ceiling, a calm image that’s interrupted by spastic images that imply an emotional volatility beneath the surface.

The song is also Kygo’s way of paying homage to Avicii, who inspired Kygo to get into electronic production. Kygo tagged Avicii’s best friend, Sandro Cavazza, to sing the vocals of “Happy Now,” making it feel that much more special.
