Made in Chelsea stars Jamie, Binky, Toff and Mark-Francis have filmed a scripted sketch called ‘Referendum in Chelsea’, urging young viewers to vote in the EU Referendum.
In case you’re wondering what this ‘referendum’ is, it’s basically a vote deciding whether the UK will leave or remain in the European Union.
There are a whole load of issues, but the E4 reality stars make it pretty simple: Will Britain still be in Eurovision? Will Jamie still be able to buy his Pinot Noir? Is it better to be in a relationship or to be single?
Toff and Mark-Francis explain everything to a confused Jamie and Binky, including why the referendum is a bit like Alexander McQueen’s last collection. Check it out here:
E4 are hugely committed to encouraging their young viewers to vote. Last year, E4 was completely switched off on Election Day to urge their audience to get out there and have their say.
This year, E4’s message comes through the words of Mark-Francis, “Voting is so in. Even if the polling stations are absolutely ghastly, make sure you have your say this Thursday.”
What better way to get young people interested in politics than by using Britain’s favourite posh reality stars? If you live in the UK and are over 18, listen to Mark-Francis, guys; he speaks the truth.
Did the Made in Chelsea stars help you understand politics? If not, it’s still a funny video, right? Let us know what you think over at @CelebMix.
