Saturday saw the debut of the highly anticipated 2019 series of The Voice UK. Sir Tom Jones was the first to secure a member on his team, and has since filled two places on his team. Saturday’s show also saw the first trio audition.
After the first week of auditions the teams look like this:

Team JHud

Nicole Dennis

Team Tom
Mike Platt
32-year-old firefighter from South Wales. In his blind audition he sang ‘Show Me Heaven’ by Maria McKee.
Peter Donegan
35-year-old from London, the son of British musician Lonnie Donegan. In his blind audition he sang ‘Bless The Broken Road’ by Rascal Flatts. To add to that, Tom also knew his dad as he was in the music business.
Team Olly
Molly Hocking
17-year-old Molly Hocking from St Ives in Cornwall. In her blind audition she sang ‘You Take My Breath Away’ by Eva Cassidy.
There are many more blind auditions to come, however, once they are finished, and the teams are all complete, the battles will begin. We already know that there is a lot of fierce competition and it’s going to be difficult for the coaches to make their decisions during the battles.
The battle rounds involve the coaches putting their singers into duets, however, only one will make it to the knockouts, unless another coach uses their steal, taking an artist from one of their rivals, to go onto the knockouts to compete for their team.
