The X Factor Tour 2017 has visited various cities around the UK, but on Monday 13 March, it was Belfast’s turn to see the X Factor contestants live – 5 After Midnight, Four of Diamonds, Sam Lavery, Emily Middlemas, Ryan Lawrie, Honey G, runner-up Saara Aalto and winner of the series Matt Terry.

5 After Midnight opened the show with a spectacular performance of songs ‘Uptown Funk,’ ‘Get Ready,’ ‘Reach Out’/’I’ll Be There.’ Following their performance, Emily did a rendition of The Chainsmokers’ ‘Closer.’

After Emily’s performance, Honey G performed ‘Men In Black’ and ‘Jump.’ She did a walk through the crowd and had every single person in the arena on their feet. Regardless of anything that is said about her, she is an incredibly good performer and does get a crowd going.

Ryan Lawrie and Four of Diamonds performed, and again really got the crowd going, especially when Ryan performed ‘Twist And Shout.’

Saara Aalto kicked off her performance in Belfast with ‘It’s Oh So Quiet’ and her production was incredible. From this, she went on to sing ‘Bad Romance.’ Saara’s voice is absolutely phenomenal live and her performances all went down extremely well with the audience.

Sam Lavery was next on stage, singing ‘Earth Song’ and ‘Impossible’ – an opportunity to show off her incredible vocals.

Honey G then appeared back on stage, singing ‘Gettin’ Jiggy With It’ and again, she had everyone on their feet having a good time.

Emily Middlemas then appeared on stage again, singing ‘What Makes You Beautiful.’ 5 After Midnight then came back on stage and performed more hits they sang on the show. The band – Kieran, Jordan and Nathan – did a duet with Four of Diamonds, which again really got the crowd going.

5 After Midnight, Saara Aalto, Emily Middlemas, Ryan Lawrie, Honey G, Four of Diamonds and Sam Lavery performed together, singing ‘Cake By The Ocean.’

Following a short interval, Saara Aalto appeared on stage, and also sang with Emily Middlemas and Sam Lavery, singing ‘No More Tears.’

More performances followed from the contestants and the excitement continued to build for seeing winner Matt Terry live.

Emily sang one of her most popular songs from the show, ‘Creep’ followed by 5 After Midnight singing their version of ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling.’

Honey G performed a mash-up of ‘Under Pressure,’ and ‘Ice Ice Baby’ – and made sure everyone was up on their feet! She also performed her debut single, ‘The Honey G Show,’ which went down extremely well with the crowd.

Ryan Lawrie and Emily Middlemas performed a beautiful and stunning duet, singing ‘Wings’ by Birdy. Not only was it an incredible performance, but their voices together sounded beautiful!

Emily Middlemas performed a stripped back version of ‘Toxic.’ Saara Aalto sang ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World’ before 5 After Midnight performed ‘Boogie Wonderland.’ 5 After Midnight showed that they are true performers, singing and dancing throughout every song they performed.

It was then time for winner Matt Terry – and he performed several hits from the show, including ‘I Put A Spell On You,’ ‘Purple Rain,’ ‘Writing’s On The Wall.’ He also sang his debut single, ‘When Christmas Comes Around,’ written by Ed Sheeran.

Matt repeatedly thanked the crowd for all their support and was incredibly grateful and humble about winning the show.

It was time for the final group ensemble, and they all sang Fleur East’s ‘Sax,’ and everyone in the arena was up dancing!

Overall, it was a really good show, and it was great seeing the contestants from the show live – they all put on great performances.
