Thirty Seconds to Mars has finally released the official music video for their newest single, “Walk On Water.” The song, originally released earlier this year in August, is the band’s first new song in four years, and was performed at MTV’s 2017 VMA’s.
In the video, the band shows footage from throughout one whole day (yes, an entire twenty-four hours) in America. Also throughout the video are statistics and facts about the U.S. such as “In a Single Day Americans Check Their Phones 150 Times.”
It also shows footage of people from throughout the U.S. giving their thoughts on their country. All of the footage used was filmed on July 4, 2017, which is the U.S.’s Independence Day, including the video’s finale showing off American fireworks shows from around the country celebrating the day.
The music video doubles as a trailer for Thirty Seconds to Mars’ A Day in the Life of America documentary.
