On the latest episode of the Late Late Show with James Corden, Niall Horan and Julia Michaels left audiences in awe with an emotional performance of “What a Time.” The single is featured on Michaels’ EP Inner Monologue, Pt. 1.

Michaels began the performance sitting on a park bench surrounded by a garden of pink flowers. The dreamlike set was reminiscent of the singer’s music video for the single and was meant to bring the lyrics to life.

“I think of that night in the park, it was getting dark / And we stayed up for hours / What a time, what a time, what a time,” Michaels sang.

Horan then joined her midway through the song and the two’s chemistry was undeniable. Fans on social media gushed over the performance. Late Late Show executive producer Ben Winston also complimented Horan and Michaels, writing, “This song is exceptional and it’s so so beautifully performed by @juliamichaels and @NiallOfficial. Love this.”
