X Factor UK fans – cast your minds back to 2009, the golden year that gave us Olly Murs, Joe McElderry, Stacey Solomon and Jedward.
Whilst all of these contestants became stars, another contestant that made an impact was Rachel Adedeji, who became a household name thanks to announcer Peter Dickson’s excellent delivery. Remember?!
Since her X Factor days, Rachel has been acting in Thriller and Jesus Christ Superstar. She has now landed a role in Hollyoaks, as the real Lisa Loveday.
Regular viewers will know that the real Lisa was abducted as a child, leaving the Loveday family distraught. She seemingly made a welcome return to their lives recently, however is in fact an imposter called Sonia. The real Lisa is guaranteed to cause a stir once she finally reappears in the next few weeks!
Speaking of the role, Rachel Adedeji said: “I am so excited to have joined Hollyoaks and be part of the Loveday family, who are brilliant actors and already feel like an extension of my own family! It is quite a pressure to be coming in as the real Lisa Loveday as she is such an anticipated arrival in Hollyoaks village.”
“I think it’s fair to say that the audience have hoped that we would at some point get to meet the real Lisa, and although I can’t say too much, the fallout is big and far-reaching.”
“What has happened to Lisa so far in her life has turned her into a tough cookie and it has been great to bring that to life on screen.”
Lisa’s arrival is one of a number of storylines teased in the new Hollyoaks Spring trailer, released today.
