BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge series over the years has seen some of the biggest artists performance unique covers and special sessions. Now a number of huge names in music have come together to support charities fighting COVID-19 by covering Foo Fighters ‘Times Like These’ under the name of the Live Lounge Allstars.
The special Stay Home Live Lounge sees artists performing in their own homes and was produced by Fraser T. Smith. It features twenty-three musical names including the likes of Dua Lipa (who opens the track), Anne-Marie, Sigrid, Chris Martin, Mabel, Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters, Bastille and many more. AJ Tracey also provides a phenomenal rap section for Live Lounge Allstars which is a standout moment of the track.
The single is currently in a chart battle with The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’ for the top spot on Friday. If the track was to reach number one it would see many of the artists achieving their first number-one single; including Foo Fighters.
Profits from the BBC Radio 1 Stay Home Live Lounge track will be split between BBC Children In Need and Comic Relief in order to provide essential support to those across the UK who have been significantly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
