The Chainsmokers are back with their brand new single ‘Side Effects’, which sees them team up with their longtime collaborator and good friend Emily Warren.
Armed with a groovy funk-inspired beat and infectious electric guitar hook, ‘Side Effects’ showcases a different side to EDM duo Drew Taggart and Alex Pall. Following on from their recent sombre offerings, ‘Side Effects’ is a vibrant release which is perfect for the summer months. Combined with Emily’s stellar hypnotic vocals, we definitely think that The Chainsmokers have another huge hit on their hands.
Speaking about ‘Side Effects’, Drew and Alex said: “We are proud to bring you our new song, ‘Side Effects,’ featuring our dear friend and frequent collaborator Emily Warren. We felt it was time for a summer jam rooted in the sound we created when we first started making records. Our music is always a current reflection of how we feel, what inspires, and who we are in that particular moment. Enjoy!”

‘Side Effects’ follows on from The Chainsmokers’ 2018 releases so far: ‘Sick Boy’, ‘You Owe Me’, ‘Everybody Hates Me’, and ‘Somebody’. All five tracks form part of the duo’s ongoing building album, Sick Boy.
Each track features a co-write from Emily, who also worked with the duo on their previous hits such as ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, ‘Paris’, ‘Until You Were Gone’, and more. There’s no doubt that their partnership is a match made in heaven, and so far it’s proven impossible not to love a TCS x Emily collaboration.
The Chainsmokers will be touring venues across the globe over the coming months, including their Las Vegas residency. For a full list of shows, click here.
