WATCH: Tiffany Young Performs ‘Over My Skin’ on ‘Good Day LA’

On the morning of August 21, Korean-American pop superstar Tiffany Young performed her new single, “Over My Skin,” live for the very first time on Good Day LA.

The performance marks the 29-year-old’s solo television debut as an American artist, after living in South Korea as a member of Girls’ Generation for over a decade. With her latest stage in her career, Young’s newest single, “Over My Skin,” perfectly translates this liberating time in her life, both as an artist and as a woman.

“I feel liberated, like I’m finally stepping into my own superpowers!” she says. ?”It’s about doing my life my way and not for anyone else.”

Picking up on the song’s sensual vibe, Good Day LA anchor Rita Garcia asked the singer about the lyrics after her performance, thinking the song could be directed towards someone special. Young responded that the song is about her.

“I was thinking about me,” she says. “Being in Girls’ Generation, I started at 17 and now it’s been 10 years and I’m back home in America at 29, so I’m enjoying and embracing being a woman.”

Garcia also complimented Tiffany Young on her energy on stage, and by looking at social media, it looks like she wasn’t the only one from Good Day LA to point that out. Take a look at what some of the team at Good Day LA had to say about the artist below.

This isn’t the first time the program has recognized a K-pop artist on its show. Just last week, Korean boy band Monsta X performed their latest hit, “Jealousy,” live on the program. You can watch their performance here.
