American Horror Story has been renewed for season 6

Good news for all AHS-lovers! FX just announced that they have renewed their hit show ‘American Horror Story’ for a sixth season.

The mini-series revolves around different settings and new characters each year, but there are no news yet about the theme for next season of the horror show. However, Ryan Murphy, one of the creators, has revealed that the next season will be “more rogue and more dark”. The current season, ‘AHS: Hotel’, is set in Los Angeles, California during the year 2015 in the haunted, retro Hotel Cortez which was built to become a torture chamber for the customers by the founder James Patrick March , played by Evan Peters.

The current season of ‘American Horror Story’, starring Lady Gaga, is also the most popular season to date. So far, ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’  is up 7% ahead of the previous season, ‘Freak Show’, among adults 18-49 and 1% among total viewers. Lady Gaga has also been asked to return to the show next year.

‘American Horror Story’ is created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk who are also behind the hit show ‘Glee’ and the new show ‘Scream Queens’. They are also behind a new show on FX called ‘American Crime Story’ which serves as a spin-off and companion series for ‘American Horror Story’. The first season will be titled ‘The People v. O. J. Simpson’ and is going to star David Schwimmer, Cuba Gooding, Jr. John Travolta and AHS veteran Sarah Paulson.
