We Need To Talk About Cher Lloyd’s New Track “None Of My Business”

The last New Music Friday was big in terms of pop music. Dua Lipa released a banger with the Korean girl group BLACKPINK, Zara Larsson debuted a first taste of her upcoming album and our queen Mariah Carey gave us one of her best songs in ages. Blessings upon blessings, are we right?

But, let’s be honest, we did not even mention the best song just yet.

Returning even more powerful than she has previously been, UK singer-songwriter Cher Lloyd finally made her grande return to the music industry this week by debuting her brand new single “None of My Business”. Following her signing with Universal Music, this marks her first solo release in two years.

“None of My Business” is truly the comeback fans could only dream of. Produced by hitmakers Hitimpulse, who also helped create hits like Kygo’s “First Time” and Alma’s “Chasing Highs”, the song mixes tropical house-infused beats with the singer’s crystal-clear vocals. Over a thumping bass line, the singer confidently dismisses her ex-lover’s downfall with his new girlfriend:

“Damn, I heard that you and her been having problems
She likes to fight, I guess you both have that in common
Started at the top and now you at the bottom
But baby, this is none of my business”

Coming out on top never sounded this catchy and sweet.

“None of My Business” is available for purchase and streaming on the digital retailer of your choice. An album is set to follow soon, as the singer has teased on her social media channels, though no release date has been specified just yet.
