Conor Maynard is just as known for his insane covers as he is for his incredible original music. It therefore comes as no surprise that the singer has decided to release an album of his covers which will be available to stream from next month.
Taking to YouTube for the announcement, Conor confirmed that his covers are going to be put together on a cover album. That album will then be available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer from August 5. Conor was joined by good friend and YouTuber extraordinaire Caspar Lee as he made the announcement.
Conor teased that the album will include two new covers that we’ve never heard before. The ‘R U Crazy’ singer also confirmed that the covers album will include one original song, which we’re super excited for.
Whilst some fans might be disappointed that his announcement wasn’t about a new original album, a covers album is not to be sniffed at. Since the start of the year, Conor has blessed us with some incredible covers including ‘Stitches’, ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’ and ‘Controlla’. We’re already hyped to see what will be included on the album, and what covers he will master next. That glorious voice of his can tackle any song with ease.
Whilst we wait patiently for some new Conor material, we’ll be playing this new covers album on repeat for sure when it becomes available. For the time being, take a listen to Conor’s stunning cover of ‘Close’.
